Nous vous conseillons de réfléchir à votre projet, en vous documentant sur le métier et la législation, en rencontrant des assistant.es maternel.les, des partenaires, en tenant compte des aspects positifs mais aussi des contraintes du métier.
Le métier d’assistant maternel implique une responsabilité importante vis-à-vis de l’enfant ainsi qu’à l’égard de son parent. L’assistant.e maternel.le doit être disponible pour l’enfant et travailler dans l’intérêt de ce dernier. C’est un métier qui vous engage, qui doit être choisi et non subi. C’est un métier où la communication est prépondérante dans les échanges avec les enfants, les parents et les services.
